CLASS DESCRIPTION
This is a six week term of classes is designed for ‘Mamas to Be’ from 14 weeks to birth, to help you to have a more relaxed pregnancy and a calmer birth. Classes are designed for everyone, whatever your fitness, flexibility or birth journey and each session encourages you to embrace your pregnancy, connect deeply with your baby, maintain your fitness and energy levels & enjoy preparing mentally and physically for your birth.

Every class includes:

  • Postures, micro-movements, relaxed stretching and flow sequences that are designed to help develop flexibility and strength in your body, boost energy levels and promote relaxation and restful sleep

  • Breathing practices that can support the many changes taking place both physically and emotionally on your journey to Motherhood

  • Strengthening postures build stamina for the labour

  • Yoga stretches create space within the body for the growing baby helping the mother feel more comfortable.

  • The classes focus on preventing and dealing with common pregnancy related ailments such as heartburn, sciatica, swollen joints and backache.

  • Every Mum-to-be is sent supporting material that compliments the teaching from class and your NCT / antenatal classes; giving you a portfolio of skills and tools to make for a healthier more enjoyable pregnancy and birth.

  • Each class ends with a deep relaxation for nourishment of mother and baby leaving you positive, empowered, relaxed and informed about your pregnancy and birth.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
The postnatal period is one of adjustment and great change, and these classes are a calm, relaxing and hugely beneficial session for you and your baby.  

Through this hands-on course, you’ll learn why Positive Touch is so beneficial to your baby and yourself, & feel confident offering your baby a top to toe massage that you can safely and effectively practice in the comfort of your own home, using specific oils and cover specific therapeutic needs.

Overall, your baby will be soothed and relieved from common complaints such as colds, colic, congestion, constipation etc, whilst also giving you time to bond with your little ones, recover from birth and soothe your baby's transition into the world.

  • Gain confidence working with your newborn

  • Encourages positive parent / baby interaction

  •  Social interaction with other parents and babies

Benefits for babies:

  • Aids digestion

  •  Helps to calm and relax

  •  Encourages secure attachment

The tuition fee includes:   

  • A small bottle of organic, cold-pressed vegetable oil for baby massage at home.

  • A comprehensive Baby Massage booklet detailing all the massage strokes

  • A guided Mummy Meditation designed to help relax busy Mamas.  

Babies are welcome from 8 weeks, up until crawling.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Specialist class to allow you to nurture yourself while you are with your baby. This class will help bring a sense of well-being, alleviate aches and pains, combat fatigue and re-tone muscles.  Classes are suitable for babies from the age of 6 weeks to crawling. Each class is unique and captures the needs of both mother and baby together. 

Additional class information:

  • If you have had a Caesarean, please seek your doctor's advice before attending.
  • Please bring anything you need for the comfort of your baby.

These classes will aid your postnatal recovery through specifically adapted postures, whilst also spending quality and nurturing time to bond with your baby though fun and play. Classes may include:

  • Yoga postures incorporating your baby
  • Breath work
  • Singing

Our mums and babies classes often become a mini–community for new mothers as there is time to enjoy informal discussion.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
Create time and space for your body to reconnect and return to a balanced, calm state.  Restorative yoga is primarily practiced on the ground with the use of multiple props to support the body into a state of 'rest and digest’ activating the parasympathetic nervous system. This class will be a space for you to deeply rest whilst learning some of the most valuable information you can take home and implement in your daily life and routine.

What you can expect:

  • Slowness is key and poses are held using props to allow precious time for the practitioner to savour the body opening, releasing and letting go.
  • Class includes restorative yoga, gentle somatic movement

  • Simple myofascial release techniques to help with range of motion & tension. blissful!

  • Suitable from 10+ weeks postnatal

These sessions are open to all bodies (injured or pregnant too) and for all levels of ability.

Unravel and unwind from your week with a Slow Flow, Yin & Restorative Yoga class done by soft glowing candle light. Delicious Slow Flow sequences and longer held Yin & Restorative Yoga poses are designed to release, open up, twist out and create space in your body, connecting you back to your breath with each movement. This is the ultimate way to unwind and get ready for your weekend.

What you can expect:

  • Working at a pace which allows for greater focus on alignment, breath and precision of movement

  • Allows you to move in a more mindful way with greater awareness

  • Quiet, reflective yin & restorative postures help relax the muscles, tissues, organs and nervous system

  • Slow flow is a flowing practice - a true moving meditation

  • Suitable from 6 months postnatal
